Your experience with menopur?

My 3rd IVF cycle.. I'm not starting with BCP..but a 2x day dose of Estradial.. and then will start menopur with gonal-f.. any ladies have experience with menopur? did it help to produce more follicles?  I know it comes in 75 IU.. how much did you take..?

    I used it for IVF # 3 and 4...I got more mature eggs...they both ended in c/p but they were def my best cycles! good luck:) I used 75 and then 150!

    I was on Follistim to start with and responded a bit too quickly producing eggs (I only stimmed for 7 days total). Menopur was added in on the end of the week to help slow things down and mature the eggs for retrieval... It worked because out of 19, 14 were mature (and 12 fertilized).

    We were very worried with how quickly things went that there would be many immature...

    My dosage was either 1 or 2 vials a day. Good luck! I think it helped me!

    I've use it for both cycles. 1-2 vials depending on the cycle. The worst thing for me is that the preservative in the menopur burns like a son of a biitch.

    I'm using it this cycle (2 vials) and I agree with Gen - it burns going in.  My advice is to definitely ice the area before the injection.  I thought the stinging was reduced that way.

    I used Menopur with all three attempts for IVF #1.  I did for 1.1 I did 75 then 225.  For 1.2, 75 daily and both of those cancelled.  But when the Menopur was added, they definitely grew!  With this current cycle, 1.3, the Menopur was started earlier and they grew pretty nicely.  We made it to ER yesterday and waiting for our fertilization report on the 3 eggs they retrieved (scan previously showed 6 follies).  With my high FSH (20.7) and very low AMH (.03), we were happy to get 3 retrieved. 

    I am a fan of Menopur and begged to go on it earlier this cycle. I did produce more follies this time than previous.  Good Luck!!!

    I took it with this cycle. 1 75iu vial/day. I think I produced better eggs this time(we had better quality embies), not sure if it was the menapur or not. Like the others said it stings really bad...Good Luck with your cycle!!
