Downtown toddler to-dos?

We will be in Chicago (downtown) next week with my daughter, who is almost 2. I know we will be doing the aquarium, for sure, as she LOVES that sort of thing. We may also hit the Children's Museum, cause it's free admission one of the nights we are there (unless it's not even worth the time for her age)

Any other must dos? I am probably going to take her to American Girl, though she's a little young.

Local parks for some downtime?

I have been to Chicago a million times, but never with needs to entertain a toddler!

TIA ladies!

Re: Downtown toddler to-dos?

  • Lincoln Park Zoo is free.  Millenium Park also has stuff to do.

I think she'd have a blast at the Children's museum.

  • She'll love the Children's Museum....lots to do for toddlers that age. I take DD all the time. As PP stated, the Lincoln Park Zoo is free. It's a great zoo. If the weather is nice, take her for a long walk on the lake. It's really pretty and there are a few parks.
  • Yes the definately go to the Childrens museum.  There are some things at the Museum of Science and Industry too for toddlers.  Navy Pier is fun too.  You can check it out since the childrens museum is there.
