Postpartum Depression

PPD/PPA symptons lessening..but seeing other problems

I've been taking Celexa for about a month now and my issues that I had with dealing with my daughter and anxiety have let up. Now I'm noticing that I have a harder time dealing with normal everyday problems. I'm having a harder time concentrating at work, not being able to "let things go", and losing my temper really easily.

Has anyone noticed that once the main symptons let up you started seeing maybe some more underlying problems???

TIA

  • I'm not familiar with Celexa - talk with your doc, you may do better with a dosing change or maybe a change of meds. I was on Lexapro and I found that things got better and better as time went on - sure I had some bad days, but overall, I didn't feel like any aspect of my life got worse.

  • I've noticed the same with me. I'm on Pristiq. I don't think I'm feeling better overall but fiance says I've been smiling and more interactive lately but my blue times have gotten a little more intense. But since he's noticed that, I have had more and more trouble focusing at work and getting my work done. I plan on calling the psychiatrist Monday about it...Maybe it's normal? I find myself wondering about fiance or LO and what they are doing etc...and I've also found myself completely zoned out and not thinking anything.
  • I usually have a short temper on antidepressants.  It is best to tell your dr. about them, because that med might not be right fr you.  If you don't like how you are feeling be sure to tell them, because they can adjust dosage or give you a new med altogether.
