One of my students announced that I'm expecting

And I am NOT!

The 14 lbs or so that I need to lose are around my middle and my arms.  I guess I wore an unflattering top that showed off my "bump".

    lol.  I'm sorry your student said that.  What grade do you teach?

    Lol i'm sorry that happened!  One of the stories in chicken soup for the teacher's soul said that the principal went on a diet after a 1st grader asked him when his baby was due!  

    I felt like I failed as a teacher when one of my third graders asked me right in a front someone if that person was a man or a woman.

    That age is horrible. When I was in Nursing School and had to do 4 wks of school nursing. I was doing this presentation and this kid stood up and asked if I was a virgin. He got kicked out of class and then sometime later I got this letter from him apologizing.

    Oy!  That is rough. 

    It is a tough age and being pregnant last year was really tough since they learn about sex ed in Health.  Oy!
