Baby Blues

For those of you that are further along than I am (baby was born 1 week ago today), how long did your baby blues last.  I'm not depressed, but I cry at the drop of a hat. Any suggestions on how to get through this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

  • Hey!!!

I was like that for the first couple of weeks after DS was born. Everything made me cry, and that is not an understatement. It definitely passed though. :) If after a few weeks you still feel that way, call your doc. :)

  • Me = trainwreck for the first couple weeks. Crying because you don't know why exactly you are crying? Been there. Fear not, you are not losing your mind. Hormones are pure evil. :)
  • 10-14 days...I cried a lot. I cried a lot over how much I loved my DH and how much I loved LO-Especially before bed. But we also found out my sil has breast cancer that week so it didn't help my baby blues.
  • Lasted about 3 weeks for me. What really helped was getting out of the house or just going on walks. It was horrible though and I really wished someone would have warned me about the baby blues. I cried over everything and just wanted to shut myself off from everyone. Things got better. If they don't, talk to your doctor. Hormones are crazy and stink!!
