Do you still cry?

I am not much of a crier, but sometimes I do tear up. Confession- I didn't even cry when O was born- it was several hours before I squeaked out a tear! Anyway, does anyone else still tear up looking at your little ones? O is asleep on my lap (he nursed his lunch and fell asleep, the little sweetie), and I looked down at his cute sleeping face and felt that little sting in my eyes... It's hard to believe how much you love them, isn't it? I never imagined feeling this much love for a person, but it's totally there.

  • Lol you know it's love when you cry about it and then can't even articulate it..

  • That was me last night. Max has a stuffy nose and is teething, so sleeping has been a little rough this week. I was holding him and he nodded off and his sweet sleeping face on my shoulder made me tear up!
  • Umm..almost everyday, haven't really stopped since DD was born!!! DH and I still just sit and stare at her, whether she's asleep, playing, eating, etc.

I'm tearing up just typing this..sheesh!

  • I don't straight out cry but I tear up often. In particular when I rock her to sleep at night and she just lays on me, breathing on my chest. I'm tearing up right now, lol. I still can't believe she's mine, you know?
  • Ok- thinking about the crying made me tear up! So- YES for me! Easter was her last "first" holiday. The idea of her first birthday makes me cry.. yah here they come! Maybe I'm crazy but I never pictured myself being a crier.. but I get very emotional over her. I just love her so much!

  • Yes. I tear up often when I look at her and think about how much I love her and how lucky I feel to have her.
  • Yes, I will tear up every once in a while especially when I see her sleeping so peacefully.  You do not know that LOVE until you have a baby!!

  • Absolutely.

I've been told since I was 14 that I would probably never have children of my own (real bad PCOS amongst other things) and every day I look at my precious little angel and tear up a little, because he is such a beautiful little blessing.

  • Sometimes I still do. I definitely teared up when DD started crawling a couple weeks ago. She's just growing up too fast!

  • Yes!  I too never used to be a sap.  But in my baby book, there is a poem that makes me think of Alannah, and I cannot hold the tears back!

  • For sure, but I've always been a crier.  I definitely tear up when I think about what a blessing J is in my life.

  • Um, every single night when I go check on her before bed... I just can't believe that beautiful baby in the crib is mine! And I tear up every time DD and I do something that I've always imagined doing with my baby... I felt so silly watching her with DH at swim lessons for the first time with tears in my eyes :)
