Has anyone gone to Sesame Place in PA

We decided to go in August for a long weekend (Fri - Mon).  We'll be at the park on Sat and Sunday.  I know there is a water park area and a non water park portion.  Is it better to wear swim stuff the entire time or would it be better to do the water part one day and the non water part the other day.

  • Thanks......I think it will be a lot of fun.  Did you just put a dress over B's swimsuit when she was out of the water?
  • Swim stuff the entire time.  It's all kind of intermingled.  It's not a huge park, so you should be able to do pretty much everything in two days.
  • I loved loved loved this place when I was little (like, way past when it was cool to admit it).  Swim stuff the whole time, but bring at least a t-shirt or something that will stay dry for some of the inside stuff.  Like, there's an interactive science-y thing that's indoors (read: freezing b/c the AC is always blasting) and is pretty awesome.
  • I was thinking just a sun dress for me and DD and then shirts for DS and DH.  Good to know about the A/C.. at the indoor places.
  • We did non water the first day and water park the second.

Have fun, we loved it there!

  • We had a season pass there last year, so we spent some of our weekends there :)

Swim suits on, towel, snack cooler was only allowed a certain size, check on their website.... but I put the fruits and some other stuff separately in the stroller and they never said anything...

We used a stroller and I highly recommend it.... it's annoying to have to carry your stuff around, even though the park is small....

Try to get there early, like at opening time.... it gets crazy busy by around noon. We always did 10am-2pm and left when the crowds were going crazy. I'd suggest doing water rides at the entrance on the left first and then when it starts getting crazy, go to the end where there is a huge bucket of water and a huge water play area. You can play and rest on the chairs when lines get long.

I wanted to get a season pass for this year, but DH is refusing... we'll see, if we go twice, it'll be already worth it.

  • I brought one of those terry cloth dresses to throw over when we were in the AC rooms. I wore a Tankini top and swim shorts since I LOVE water rides myself! lol
