NBR: Grocery Shopping

How much do you spend on groceries on a weekly basis? We spend way to much on food because DH loves to eat out. So I'm putting us on a strict budget because we need to start saving some money. Just wondering what everyone else spent usually.

    I only go shopping twice a month, and spend about $250 total each month... but DH never eats at home, he sleeps all day, goes to work at night and eats there. He spends his own money on food lol. I hardly eat, and I don't require much... so it's not so bad.

    I would say about $100 a week including cleaning stuff and such.  That's not including diapers and wipes.  We just started eating mostly organic and the total hasn't gone up too much since we stopped buying crap and snacks.

    I would say about $100 to $150 a week just on groceries that includes all my pregnancy craving foods as well :)

    I think that I spend about 150 on food and housewares every 2 weeks so 300 per month for the two of us! I think that is too much. Not to mention we go out to eat once a week too.

    I wish I had an actual good number for how much I spend on average. Normally I shop at Publix so sometimes I will spend around $150, but I also try to do a lot of their buy one get one free sales along with the 10 for $10. Most of those items I will only stock up on if they have a long expiration date, but when I shop those sales I can end up spending under $50 and getting nearly the same amount of groceries. We also have a deep freeze though so usually I buy meat in bulk at Sam's or Costco.
