I've been working the last few days, so I can only go by what DH has told me the last 3 mornings he has been home with Nicholas. Today and yesterday when Nicholas woke up, DH would walk into his room with a bottle of milk. Both days Nicholas would take a little bit and then push it away. So DH would think "Hmmm maybe he isn't hungry" so they would play a little and try again in 10 minutes. Nicholas would take a little and then nothing. Then DH got the idea "Hey let me bring N downstairs and put the milk in his sippy cup". Then Nicholas would drink his milk a little quicker (instead of a sip here and pushing it away like the bottle). So what do you think? Is Nicholas telling us that he's giving up that bottle?

Re: So I *think* DS is ready to drop his AM bottle
Daylight savings time helped us eliminate Megan's morning bottle. She used to wake up crying for her bottle. The last few weeks she's been waking and laying in her crib talking and singing up to an hour before she gets up. Some days we hear her as early as 6am but she doesn't get up until 7:15. When we get her up we change her diaper and take her down to breakfast. She's still getting the bottle, but not until 8:30-9:00 right before her nap.
I was shocked that she gave up the early morning bottle so soon, but the transition has helped push her to an earlier and better nap schedule too.
Oh, and she will not drink her milk from a sippy. In her eyes sippy cups are for water. Okay then.

Interesting....Garrison refused her morning bottle this morning. It's just one day so it's possible it is just a complete fluke but, I thought it was really strange since she hadn't had one for over 12 hours at that point.
I guess if she doesn't seem interested again we'll try the sippy cup.
