My husband and I talk about this all the time. Both of us would totally love to be one of those people that gets hired to break into places to test security and see what you can get away with. All the adrenaline of breaking the law - but all totally legal.
Next to being a SAHM... and after being a special ed teacher... I would say.... I would love to work for National Geographic or a travel magazine and get to travel the world paid for by my job!

Ooh, that would be fun! My answer is CIA spy or Air Marshall
SAHM or a small business owner - like a cute little bakery or store - but successful enough that I don't have to work nights/weekends. I would pay someone else to do that. LOL. yeah, yeah, wishful thinking...

I want to run an avian rescue shelter where I can take in birds that people no longer want and adopt them out. I'd also love to run my own small business.
I would love to be a stay at home mom, but I don't get paid for that! I would love to work from home somehow, doing something... Writing perhaps... Singing or photography.
I would make ceramic art and sell them to local gift shops and galleries! I've taken quite a few ceramics classes in the past and am absolutely in love with it. HOWEVER, I'm not the most artistically talented person in the world (or the room for that matter). So, unless there is a market out there for crappy stoneware, I'll just stick to doing medical transcription (BORING!!!!)
One of those people that goes into celebrities'/wealthy people's closets and organizes them. I read somewhere that Kim Kardashian used to do that for celebrities before she hit it big. I love organizing stuff and would love to see all those people's homes!!
I had my dream job (Coast Guard officer) for 6 years. Now, I am a Government employee doing environmental work.
If we could afford it, I would be a SAHM. If we're talking paying jobs, I would love to own a little shop full of handmade items. I'm a big quilter and scrapbooker, my sister crochets, another sister does needlework, pottery, and fused glass. Come to think of it, maybe we should do something with Etsy.
I would love to own my own bridal boutique. DH wants to do this soon (he owns his own business and loves it) But I want to be a SAHM first for a long time. Then maybe I'll open my store.
I have also thought about opening a Dunkin' Donuts.
I love this thred, so fun! I like seeing what other people's passions are - and see jobs that I never would have even thought of!!
I luckily have been able to work in my dream job, as a professional cheerleader. I just wish that I could actually make job out of it, so that I could support myself on that salary alone. You'd think with all the money the professional leagues make, they could kick down a decent wage to their cheerleaders. Ha! Not quite!! So after 4 years, I retired and now I have to work a "real" job!
I would also love to be a fitness trainer to the rich and famous! I'd love to have a small personal gym in LA, motivating and assisting clients to reach their personal best fitness goals!
I love my job... but hey, you can have more than one dream job! DH and I have always wanted to own a small restaurant where we have a daily fixed menu... or artisan cheese maker, with a small wine and cheese tasting room on site... I'd love that.
Re: Your Dream Job (stolen from 2tri)
Now that would be an awesome job!

I like planning things. If I thought I could do it, I would be interested in a party or wedding planner.
I also decorate cakes, it would be fun to do that full time.
My back ground is as a chemist. I have always wanted to work in food chemistry - taste testing, product development, icecream flavor creator....
Fashion Stylist

I am doing my dream job, well okay so right now I am only a SAHW and my dream is SAHM but you get the picture.
If I had to have a 'real' job I thought about college professor for a very long time, specifically Anthropology/Sociology. Or a Therapist.
