I love the look of wrought iron cribs, but I can't help but think wood is safer. Don't the little monkeys end up standing in the crib, chewing on the rail, and thrashing against it once they're older? Forgive for thinking the worst...
Does anyone have experience with metal cribs?

I bought an iron crib. If he or she is going to hit his or her head hard enough for a KO it doesn't matter if it's metal or wood. You can also get a chew guard for wood or metal crib.
We've purchased a metal crib and feel the same way as the pp. Whether it's metal or wood, it'll feel pretty much the same if they bang on it.... and we can get guards for either. Good Luck!
