My Ross only seems to get tops in. It's frustrating! I love the tops there and bought quite a few last time but they had no pants. I have continued to check.
And I was worried about sizing too. I saw some great deals on ebay but will be upset if they don't fit.
I have. I have bought a number of jersey dresses, tops with stretch and three pairs of pants. The pants were all gap brand and I new which size to order. I got as them a lot, new with tags attached for $13 a pair. I couldn't be happier with my ebay purchases.
I've been trying my darndest to win a dress on ebay for an event at the end of the month. I KEEP getting outbid. (I've bid on several different dresses.)
I think whether you get a good deal or not really depends on the item. I really wanted a liz lange dress that originally retailed for $24.99 It got bid up to almost $40 by time the auction ended. (The dress has been discontinued, which is why it got bid up so high.)
Have you tried craigslist? I see lots of cheap stuff on there (although the selection can definitely be lacking.)
I've done it both times and had about an 80% success rate. Some stuff I get and really like, some stuff is crap and doesn't fit. But I will only buy things on ebay if I can get them cheap - like <$10/shirt, including shipping. That way I don't feel so bad if a few of them end up being a bust.
Have u tried a local resale/consignment shop like Once Upon a Child? They keep in up-to-date styles, are still cheaper than new but in great condition, and it would save u the shipping as well plus u can try stuff on first. I got a bunch of Old Navy and Gap stuff there and I didn't have to worry about the sizing or fit like on eBay (which was great b/c the sizes that fit me even in the same brands ranged from XS-M)
Melanie Paige was born 7/7/10 @ 8:48 AM- 7 lbs 4 oz, 19 in!
Lana Michelle was born 1/9/07 @ 9:40 AM- 6 lbs 14.5 oz, 19.5 in!
OK, I am an eBay queen but I have had zero luck with maternity clothes. I've bought three things--a pair of 7FAMK jeans, a Tibi tunic, and a Lilly Pulitzer dress--all brands I own a lot of non-maternity stuff--and none of them worked out, to put it mildly. It was a huge disappointment.
ebay is good as long as you know what size you are. Have you tried thrift stores? I just bought a pair of Gap maternity jeans (SUPER cute) for $1.59 & a Liz Lang little black dress (again, SUPER cute) for $4.29. Thrift stores can be hit or miss but TOTALLY worth it if you do fine something that works for you...
I just bought two dresses off of there. I'm usually pretty good at knowing what styles will look good on me and I figured with dresses, sizing can be a little off and it can still look nice.
I bought two things and had a so-so experience but they were either dirt cheap (Lily Pulitzer capri's for about $2) and CofH petite jeans (about $25) both were so below other costs that I took the gamble but also can re-list.
The jeans were the bigger disappointment, though they were authentic CofH I am CONVINCED that they were altered to be maternity jeans (based on the band). It was a top-rated power seller who assured me they were real, and gave me the option of returning, but they fit decently enough in other areas so I kept as an extra pair. The sizing on the Lily pants seemed bigger then my usual size but have worn a few times as casual beach walking/cover up pants and hey at tag sale prices I can't complain....)
That said, I've been doing most of my shopping at target.com (since selection is awesome...try the "Clearance" area for GREAT bargains and there are easy returns), H&M and Destination Maternity. Zappos.com is another source too...
My suggestion is to check out your local craigslist.com. Then you can try the stuff on, if they will let you. People are always selling cute stuff on there. GL

i also bough a bunch of maternity clothes at the thrift store around here. I got 2 pairs of capris, 4 pairs of shorts, a pair of jeans, a pair of black dress pants and a sweater for $35. They are all motherhood maternity or liz lange and in perfect condition. Nothing looked worn in the least. I live in a big area with a lot of thrift store with a huge selection so i may have just gotten lucky

Yeah we have a few posting on craiglist here but the people are asking way too much.
So I turned to Ebay. I think I am going to try for a lot of clothes (20 pieces) that is going for around 12.00!

True I could always relist them.
Okay that was enough to convince me! I am going to buy away!

I'll let you know when they arrive, though!
