Wow, even Barney talks about adoption

We had Barney on in the background today.  Yes, he drives me crazy too. Nobody was actually watching the show.  It was just on. 

Anyway, at one point I heard a little boy telling Barney he was going to be a big bother soon.  At another point  kids were doing some sort of song and dance about family.  When I walked back through the room toward the end of the show, it caught my attention.  The little boy's mom came in with an Asian toddler.  She said "Timmy (or whatever), this is your new little sister.  She's from China"  I was shocked.  Now I wish I would have paid attention to the show, because I'm sure the subject of adoption came up more than once.

I know adoption is everywhere, but I've yet to see it on a kids' show.  Thought I would share.

    YEP! I saw this too! One of my daycare kids had it on! I saw this cute little girl and the little boy crouching down saying, "hi, i'm your big brother".

     Too cute and awesome!

    I saw that too.  Sesame Street also had a story about adoption.  I think it's great.
