Injectables and weight gain?

Did anyone experience this? I've gained 7 lbs over the last few months, which is pretty abnormal for me. I've been gaining since I got married almost 4 years ago, but gradually.. never anything this sudden. Sad

A couple months ago I had my follistim cycle, so I'm wondering if that could have had something to do with it? Ugh.. I'm just SO dissapointed and frustrated with myself today and I'm hoping I can at least partially blame this weight gain on the meds. Pleeease someone tell me I'm not alone with this. :)

    Oh Lolo I'm sorry! Huge hugs! Weight gain on top of IF really sucks!

    Yep, that is pretty much exactly what I gained on injects.  If you combine that with the two clomid cycles it was probably closer to 10lbs.  3lbs of it would come of in the 2ww, but then AF would bloat it back on.  I finally started following the south beach diet and that helped a lot (even though I wasn't super strict about it).

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    phew.. for awhile there I thought I was the only one. Not that I want anyone else to gain weight along with me. :)

    ugh.. it's SO frustrating! I wanted to try to lose some weight before getting pregnant and all I've done for the past 18 months is gain gain gain. The follistim didn't help things, and I have to start them up again next week. IF sucks as it is.. why does it have to make you gain weight too?? grrrr

    I gained 15 over the course of my treatments (see siggy.) It was worth it though!

    I just finished my first cycle of injectibles.  I gained about 5 pounds in the 2 1/2 weeks I was on them, but it felt more like bloat to me.  Unfortunately, AF reared her ugly head this morning, but I got on the scale (because I didn't wake up feeling bloated) and my weight has dropped back down a couple of lbs and my clothes felt fine today.  Maybe it is just bloat that your body isn't getting rid of.
