I think I mixed it with formula and over the course of a week added more and more cows milk and less formula. The transition was super easy and non eventful for us.

We went from soy formula to soy milk but its the same concept. We gradually reduced the amount of formula and increased the amount of milk. For example...week one- one ounce milk, 5 ounces formula; week two- two ounces milk, 4 ounces formula, etc. We had no problems.
Tried cold turkey and he would not drink it so we did 1/2 and 1/2 for about 2 weeks and then went full cow's milk and he was fine

we're still figuring it out, but it looks like we're going cold turkey. DD won't drink formula out of a cup and our doctor told us to not put milk in a bottle.
Re: What worked for you ladies?
We switched cold turkey, and DS just went with it.
