    Oh yeah, thanks for asking.  It's gotten MUCH better.  I figured out the problem a couple of days after I posted about it.  He wanted to keep listening to music.  :P  Even though we normally just listen to NPR on the way home, he got upset when we turned the car off & the radio stopped.  All I had to do was tell him that we'd listen to music inside and he calmed right down. 

    He hasn't even gotten upset about it recently, so maybe we're moving past that now.  *knock on wood*

    Oh wow, what a simple solution!  Kids, I tell ya, they are crazy.  I'm so glad you figured it out and it's gotten better.
