anyone have a spotbot? or how do you get stains out of carpet?

my LO has always been a big spitter. now that he is on the move he spits up all over the carpet and if we don't get to it fast enough it will leave a stain. anyone have a bissell spotbot? if so, how does it work for you? if you don't have a spotbot what do you do to remove the stains (besides hiring steam cleaners all the time??)) thanks!

Not sure if this works with all types of stains, but I have a haan steam cleaner (it was about $100) and that works great so far.

I use Spotshot spray, but I would love to have a steam cleaner.

We borrowed my parents and it worked great (it made the spot so clean that the rest of the carpet look dingy! On one spot we had to use it twice.

We spot the big stains but plan on doing a full steam cleaning after we get through the spit up stage... maybe it will be his first birthday present
