  • Having my LO with me all the time.  I am going back to work so I will miss this.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.
  • I will miss the times when DH bonds with the belly.  It's so stinking cute to watch him talk to my belly.
  • Feeling her move and having her with me at all times. I remember feeling kind of lonely after dd#1 was born.

  • I, too, will miss all the movements...as much as being pg can be a pain at times, I know that I will miss every second of it! I love knowing LO is with me all the time and, same as PP, that it's a lot more convenient to take them places ;)

I will miss that special connection that just he/her and I share right now.

  • I am going to miss my nice round, hard belly....it will all be moosh after and hopefully I can get my tone back....but I actually enjoy having the belly and wearing maternity tops, it is fun for me. I too will also miss the movement, at first I was creeped out by it but now it is just sooo much fun to watch and feel, well most of the time! hehe

  • I will miss feeling the LO move all the time because I really love it.

I will also miss all of my DH's attention focused on me.  I will admit that is very selfish but I just know that I will miss that for a little while, at least.

  • you guys are making me cry!!!!  i agree with it all ~ watching DH go from freaked out to totally into feeling the kicks, feeling like i'm never alone and that i have a little secret buddy when LO kicks, i even think i'll miss the anticipation of it all!

  • I also have to go with feeling him kick and knowing that he is always with me. Especially at work or when DH gets home late, I like feeling like someone's with me.

For a time, I will also miss not having to dress to hide the belly or anything. I had about 10 pounds to lose before getting pg and I was always worried about hiding the chub. It's been nice just wearing whatever. Hopefully though I get to a good weight after.

  • Definitely all of the above.  The moving, DH talking to my belly to tell LO how his day was, being able to have LO with me, but no carseat/stroller etc...

I will also miss random strangers doing nice things for me, like open doors and help carry groceries, letting me cut in line.. lol.  It sounds awful, but I am enjoying it as much as I can because I know it goes away.

  • watching my stomach take on different shapes and showing my friends at work to shapes the baby makes with my belly, also the hiccups, when at the dr last they were doing the heartbeat check and we could hear the hiccups too, it was so cute :) I am looking forward to being able to bend over again though :)
  • I'll miss his movements-every time it makes me smile.  And knowing that he is safe with me all the time. Now I'm emotional!

  • Not caring that my belly sticks out.

That's not even what I'll miss most, it's pretty much the only thing I'll miss.

  • Same as the others - the kicks, the excitement of each new week (which starts as a count up to viability and then seems to transition into a countdown to delivery!)

My friends said that your first pregnancy is the last time people will dote on you, comment on how cute you are, or call and ask about you (before asking about your child). From now on it will be about your kids...if that's true then I'm going to miss the nice compliments!

    This, exactly.

  • I'm 6' and for someone so tall it's really hard to pull off "cute." During my pregnancy I really have felt like I finally achieved "cute" status due to this big belly.

That being said, I'm not going to miss it THAT much.

  • all his little (and big) movements and how easy it is to get dressed in the morning-- i only have so many choices and i'm never worried about how my tummy looks, because it's obvious there's a baby in there!

  • I'll miss DH bonding with my belly by rubbing it, talking to it and giving it kisses. It'll be so much better when I can actually see him bonding with our son though!

I'm also going to miss being able to eat pretty much whatever I want without my MIL nagging at me to lose weight.

  • I will miss setting my own schedule and doing what I want when I want.  Wink
  • THIS.  I really think this is going to be my biggest adjustment.

ETA: I meant to quote the girl who basically said "doing what I want when I want".

  • eating, once he is here I need to watch what I eat.
  • Sleep lol. My older son sleeps so well so it will be an adjustment again to have to be getting up at night.

  • I'll definitely miss the movement inside or watching my belly move. I think it will be weird at first to not feel that. I like having him with me at all times.

There is absolutely nothing else I will miss though!

  • I will miss having an excuse to be lazy. I'll also miss not having to worry whether my pants will button.
