Our Best Customer @ Work
I work at a coffee shop and see ALL kinda of people, but the customer at our store is an Older man named Les. He comes in every day rain or shine and I talk to him every day I work there, (which is ALOT). Well to me he is like another grandfather to me, so we talk all the time, but I wasn't sure how to tell him I was pregnant, so I decided to the best method was to just not tell him until he asked me (which hes to nice to do lol), me and the people i work with always joked that i would just show up with the baby one day and it would recognize his voice from all the convorsations Les and I had.
So one day (around 23 weeks) I showed up at work and he was there and he stoped me to stay "a little birdie has told me you have a little suprise inside you!" and I finally gave in because obviouisly someone had told him ( I wasn't mad, because it saved me from having to break the news!) So i told him yup I sure was, ect.
So after i was done talking with Les and went to the back, i mentioned to my manager that the cat was out of the bag and she was like "I'm so sorry i thought Les already knew!" and we laughed about it because I was now 23 weeks and showing quite a bit, but i wear an apron most the time so its hard to tell. And then my manager mentioned "Yah, I told him we would be losing you for maternity leave" and he said" MATERNITY LEAVE??!" and thats when i knew he didnt actaully know you were pregnant, so i just said "Yup! sorry i thought you knew les!" and Les goes: "OHH well that explains all that extra weight shes been packing on.."
