Mum-Mums: Yay or Nay?

My friend, who is very organic- and nutritious-minded, recommended Mum-Mums as a first solid food for Lucas to feed himself.  I found some Mum-Mums at the local health food store, bought them, and Lucas LOVED them.  I'm not feeding them to Lucas for any nutritional value.  Whe he sits with us at the table now, he is very interested in eating, and I want to give him something that he can eat himself.  These seem perfect, they are large, easy to grasp, and dissolve in his mouth.

I see that they are made in China; however, they are award-winning.  They contain japonica rice, potato starch, salt (15mg) and sugar (.5 g).  They may contain trace amounts of milk; but there is a statement saying that the milk is imported from NZ.

So...would you feed these to your baby??
