Question about sunblock...

Hi Ladies,

I'm usually a lurker... I keep up on posts through my phone, I hope to become more of a poster! My son just turned 9 months old on Sunday, and we are going to Disney this weekend. What is the best brand/spf sunblock I should use for him? Also, any pointers for our Disney trip would be great as well.

 TIA,

Elizabeth

Re: Question about sunblock...

  • My SIL swears by Blue Lizard sunscreen.  She's used it on her kids since they were 5 mo.  Her pedi highly recommended it.

  • Ditto on the Blue Lizard.. Its thick but it works incredibly well.  My ped recommended it (and there was a reason-- something in it-- but of course I can;t remember)
  • I find it much easier to use a spray. we usually use aveeno. good luck with Disney hopefully it won't be too hot (we'll be there next weekend) make sure to get one of those water bottles with the fan on the end. they sell they there for like $12 and you can get one at walmart for under $3. Bring lots of snacks and water and something to help you carry your baby...like a bjorn since you will be parking the stroller a lot. have fun!
  • I'm a pediatric dermatology PA @ Miami Children's Hospital - we recommend Blue Lizard Sensitive and that's what I use on DD. Re-apply every 2 hours!
