weird potty training problem

Zoe wore panties today at home for the first time... problem, she did not want anything over them. when it was time for us to go leave the house, i put a diaper back on her with the panties over them cause she was very attached to them... and then she wouldn;'t let me put her pants back on over them!! I eventually forced a dress on so she could at least pull it up and see the panties are still there. But she literally cried and screamed for like, 30 minutes til i forced the dress on her and drug her out of the house!!! Poor thing was SO upset. she just didn;t understand that they are still there if there is something over them! anyone else have this problem?? suggestions!?

    This is not a problem we have had...but then Zoe is alot more attached to her clothes than Sophie is. Sophie seems to be a shoe girl instead. LOL. Have you tried showing her that you wear your panties under your clothes? When Sophie gets upset about something like that I try to show her that she is not alone and then if she still does not get it, well, I make her do it and let her scream until she gets over it. Sometimes that is all that works to make it click that its not acceptable. They are too little to get the concept of not being able to wear panties outside without pants OR that NO you cannot wear your fuzzy slippers or patent leather dress shoes or shows 2 sizes too small to daycare. That is something they figure out after you put your foot down. LOL.

    Did you try explaining to her that those are private clothes no one sees.  Show her your panties, and that you wear them under your pants/shorts.  Maybe that will convince her.  Plus, show her her dolls.
