I have given up on sleep due to heartburn, nausea, hip pain, etc. etc. etc. How are you getting through the school day without killing your students? I know it's not their fault, but my lack of sleep has turned me into a mean, moody, mess.
I was very blessed to have a co-teacher since I teach an inclusion class. I also went on maternity leave 2 wks before my due date. I know it's tough, but there is an end in sight. Good luck!
I teach Kindergarten so we are on the go alllllll day long! I try to sit as much as possible. I am off this week for spring break but I know next week when I go back I will not only be sitting/resting as much as I can but I will also be switching my footwear to sandals/comfy slip ons. We can't watch movies (district policy) but we will try to go outside for a bit here and there. With a 1/2 day program it is hard to do all the fun things we remember!
Ony 3 weeks to go and then I will be on maternity leave!!! As sad as I am to leave my little guys I keep telling myself that the end is in sight.
I teach Kindergarten as well, in a full day setting. I just try to sit as much as possible, and not bend over to tie as many shoes LOL. I feel guilty sometimes but understand I'm still a good teacher, even if I do sit in my chair more than ever!
I just said to my husband last night that I feel really bad for these kids b/c I have NO patience. I teach 9th graders who push my buttons even when I am not pregnant, but in the last few weeks I have no tolerance for anything!! I find on really bad days I watch a video or have them do some sort of group work activity so I don't have to teach! 2 more days till april vacation!!!
In class projects and think/ pair/ share activities. I have them work together so that they don't have to talk to me as much. It gets really hard somedays though.

I teach music, so I see grades 1-5 and my schedule is crazy, so I have about 2 minutes between classes to get some instruments away and new ones out to change over for the next lesson. Lately, I've been sitting in a comfy, rolling chair when I'm teaching which gets me off my feet and that way i'm not sitting on the floor with the kids. I also do show more movies now than ever but I honestly feel guilty everytime I pop a movie in (even though I know i shouldn't)

I've been so thankful for an 11 day spring break!!! I've been resting and catching up on all of my sleep.
That being said, the week before the break i had one of the worst nights and was a total crab all day. My 5th graders learned fast that it wasn't my best day and tried to be on their best behavior.

I wish this would work with me!!! When my kids start working together all hell breaks loose! I have yet to find a way to get them to work together without wanting to kill their partner, kill the groups near them, and keep them on track to the assignment.

I am an Early Childhood Special Ed teacher and it is an ALL day struggle with my kiddos as it is...but now...pretty unbearable. I am actually home for a mental health day today because I just felt like I coulnd't do it again today. I go into school early so I can leave as soon as contract time is over at the end of the day. I feel horrible for my kids because I have no patience and feel like they are not getting the attention they need. It needs to warm up because as soon as it does we will be living outside!
On days that I had slightly more energy, I'd do a lot of prep work and try to get as much work done as possible. On days that I was tired, I didn't stress out over not getting grading done as quickly as I used to, and told myself it was OK.
