I have been trying for the past few days to have DD sleep in her crib for naps and bedtime. She is struggling with it, so I wonder if I am forcing it on her too soon. What are you all doing?
I'm transitioning Kirsten out of her nap nanny to sleeping flat in her bed, so all naps and sleeping have been done in her crib. maybe one nap a day in her swing.

For naps at home, she pretty much sleeps on us, or in the boppy, or sometimes the pack n play. At daycare, i think her naps are in the swing. At night, she sleeps in the co-sleeper next to the bed.
DD is 3 1/2 mo. and she sleeps and has most of her naps in her crib. We transitioned her over from the co-sleeper to her crib right at 3 months. Getting her to sleep in her crib at night was much easier than getting her to take naps in her crib. It took about two weeks after she started sleeping in her crib for her to finally start taking naps in there.
Night sleep is always in his crib, less a few of the awful nights with hourly wake-ups that were going on until early last week. His first, and generally most reliable nap is in the swing and the rest are a crap shoot (car seat on the way home from errands, swing, stroller while on a walk, etc). I'm hoping that once his night sleep is feeling stable I'll be able to try to naps in the crib.
We tried moving DD into her crib last week. When she was sleeping in her PNP bassinet in our room, she slept from 10:30- 6/7. Once she was in the crib, she would get up at 4, then 6, then 7. It was rough. So we moved her back to the PNP last night and she went 9-6!
So, she'll be in the PNP for a bit longer, but she's going to outgrow the bassinet part soon. We're going away on vacation next week where she'll be in the pnp. I think we'll try the crib again when we get back.
Naps are in a little travel bed type thinkg in the living room.

DD has slept in her at night crib since the second night we brought her home. We just transitioned her to napping there too around the 3 month mark, and while it was difficult in the beginning she naps much better in her crib now than anywhere else.
Gavin usually naps next to where one of us is sitting on the couch, on our oversized ottoman, or in his swing. At night he sleeps in his crib. We have put him in his crib since we brought him home so he does pretty well with it.
He takes all his naps and sleeps at night in his fisher price rock n play sleeper. He will until he's about 6 months old or when his reflux is "cured" enough so he can lay down flat for more than 15 minutes-whatever comes first.
at night his crib--except this week the swing as he is stuffed up and the incline helps him breath--but he still does half the night in his crib
naps--wherever he crashes! swing, stroller, wagon, carseat, floor.. i try the crib but he won't stay there for me-he'll nap good in the crib for everyone else though
DD sleeps in the pack n play in her room. I'm too short to get her out easily if she's in her crib. For naps, she typically sleeps in her swing, but I don't turn it on. Does that make it any better if it isn't on? Haha.
DD sleeps in her crib at night and she sleeps from 8 PM to 4-5 AM. We transitioned her to her crib (from her bassinet, in our room) when she was a 3 months and 1 week old. Up until about 2 weeks ago she napped in our arms, her swing or her carseat (while we were out and about). Now she takes most of her naps in her crib, unless we are running errands and then she'll normally sleep in her carseat.
For naps, her swing (need to sto pthis soon I know).
For bed, her crib.

Dd sleeps in her crib and has been for two months. She STTN (8-8). She naps in her crib when she's home and in the PnP at daycare. She naps every 2-3 hours.
My little one absolutely loves the Nap Nanny. We used to have such trouble with sleeping with him but now he sleeps right through the night! 3 months old is definitely not too old to start using one of these so I would give it a try! It's angled, which is a more natural position for the child to sleep in, but it is much better than sleeping in a car seat or swing. Check out www.napnanny.com
