I was told to do them an hour after my lunch or dinner, I was told to call if I didn't get 10 movements within an hour. I do them in my mind but don't record them. The last few days he been moving all the time, I think he's ready to get out and see the world
Nope, I never do "official" kick counts. My little guy is so active and since I am on bedrest I feel him all the time. If I notice a few hours goes by without movement, I just lay on my side and that'll usually get him going.
At my 28 week appt my dr didn't mention it. I will see if she says anything today at my 30 week appt. I dont' count, but I feel movement consistently at about the same times each day. If I dont', I drink cold water or lay down. That usually gets things moving.
I was just told today that I should start doing them - nothing real official - just laying on the couch in the evening and seeing how long it takes to feel 10 movements, if it is longer then an hour I should call.

I rarely do any "official" kick counts. I usually get enough movement at regular times during the day that I've not felt the need to.
At my last appointment, the nurse practitioner just said to make sure I feel at least 10 movements in 2 hours at least once a day.
