My little Ava is here.

She was born on April 1st via unscheduled c-section after in labor for 18 hours. She weighed 5 lbs and 13 oz. she is so petite. I wish she would breastfeed better. I was in the hospital until Sunday with an infection. I will post a picture later this week.

Congrats!! As far as the bf'ing, it's HARD. I would recomment contacing a lactation consultant - my daughters pedi has one who is also a nurse and she really helped me out several times. I also read a couple of books. The best advice I ever got was from a dad actually and he said the baby has to make a mouth like they are about to bite a big hamburger - not like they are going to slurp spaghetti. It's true!

Congrats! And FWIW- I only weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and had trouble at first. I quickly got the hang of it and have had zero trouble eating ever since! Smile
