I'm trying to finalize all my registry choices since the shower invites are going in the mail tomorrow. In an effort to make sure that I've pretty much included everything I need......
Can the Mommies please let me know what things, in their opinion, I "MUST HAVE" on there?
Thanks!!!

Re: Poll: Registry Must Haves....
I think "must haves" vary from person to person. Baby needs a place to sleep, food to eat and a car seat (it's the law).
If you plan on wearing your baby, you will need a sling or a baby carrier like an Ergo. Otherwise, look into a stroller or a travel system.
If you plan to breastfeed you will need pads for leakage. I like the reusable ones. Just throw them in the wash! If you plan to formula feed, get bottles. Oh and if you're going back to work but want to continue breastfeeding...look into pumps. The double electric ones are great, but SUPER expensive & not an item you want to buy second hand.`
Put like 5 clothing items, just so people know your taste. Trust me...you will get 50 million outfits you did not register for. LOL
You can put safety stuff on there, but I figure I'll baby proof my house once I see her start to almost crawl. No use for it now.
Think of things that you need immediately. If you need to think about it, you can probably live without it for a few months after baby's arrival.
If I come up with anything else, I'll post later. Hope that helps!

It's Beshert
With the boppy don't forget to register for an extra cover for it - I didn't and ran out quickly to get another one.
We used the bouncy seat and swing were used a lot and essentials in our house.
I would register for anything you think you want though because even if you get something you didn't think was as essential as something else, you can always exchange it and you could always use the completion discount to finish it.
Also - I wouldn't register for too many pacifiers or bottles just because you don't know what kind your baby will like and you don't want a ton of those just sitting around your house.
My must haves....
Boppy with an extra cover---or 2.
Extra covers for the changing pad
Square blankets. SQUARE. Best for swaddling.
Burp clothes, you never know if you are gonna get a spitter
Bouncy seat
Breast pads & freezer bags for milk if you plan on pumping (lots of them)
Homedics Sound Machine
Feet pajamas. My baby lived in them for the first few months. Perfect for sleeping if they get uncovered.
One thing that I didn't have at the beginning and still use is the graco nose aspirator! Those bulbs the hospital give you, they never worked for me!
I also remember buying more changing pad covers like Mel suggested. I think we had 2-3 to start but she was always peeing when I changed her diaper. She (knock on wood) hasn't done that in a while but in the beginning it seemed like it happened alot!
My daughter also loved the swing. We didn't really use the boppy and she hated the bouncy seat!
For me:
- Boppy and extra cover
- Miracle blanket
- Bouncy seat with vibration
- Swing
- Jumperoo or exersaucer for late
- Playmat
- Crib soother (my boys love their crib soothers! I have the aquarium and the rainforest...and I like the rainforest better)
- Baby tub, towels, shampoo, etc.
- Diapers, diaper cream, wipes.
- Bottles, nipples, pacis.
- Extra sheet for the crib
- Ultimate crib sheet (the one that you tie to the sides and it's where their heads are...great for not having to change the entire sheet when they are little and stay in one place!).
What I would NOT put:
- Blankets...people will give you blankets whether you ask for them or not...I think most people end up with a TON of blankets!.
- Clothes: people will give you clothes regardless...
Hope that helps!
It definitely varies. The items I found as must haves for Nicholas, I have yet to use for Adrianna. So far she hates the swing and won't take a binkie....two of the most used items with my son. But you won't know until your baby is born, so besides the basics, I would say to register for some older baby items. It seems like you won't use them for awhile, but the time will be here before you know it:
sippy cups
infant plates, spoons, bowls
snack traps
disposable bibs
a rubber placemat or disposable ones (for restaurants)
a booster seat
teething toys
shopping cart cover
lightweight umbrella stroller
