Looking for OB

Hello everyone!

I just moved to Boca Raton area, and need to find a good OB as soon as possible. Does anyone know of anyone.

I hate to go through this right now, I love my doctor, but she is all the way on the west coast...

Thank you!

Re: Looking for OB

  • I love my doctor , he is young (which I like) but he is also a  part of a practice that has been around for over 30 years. His name is Terrance Harris and is located right across the street from FAU.

  • Most of us in the area go to Women's Healthcare Partners on Powerline and 18th Street .  -- > www.whamd.com

I have been seeing one of the midwives, Rachel Devaney for the past 7 years and I have only good things to say about her.

Dr Newman performed my frist (emergency c-section) and I loved him, unfortunately he was not available for my second one so I had Dr Chen and Dr Jane Rudolph perform ir and they were super amazing (both females). I love Dr Rudolph so much that she will be doing my third c-section in July.

The only dr I really don't like in that practice is Dr Feingold, she was rude and made me cry the day I delivered our first son!

  • I posted a few months ago on a similar question and got some  recommendations here.  I haven't settled on an OB yet because I'm not certain which hospital we'd want to go with since I'm in Delray, not Boca.
  • Check out Women's Health Partners. I can't go there anymore due to insurance issues, and I hate that. I saw Drs. Rachel Ciaccio and Stuart Newman. Love them both, and could go on and on about how wonderful they are. They have a Boca office on SW 18th near Powerline.

I'm currently seeing Dr. Samuel Heering. He's in a solo practice and is...OK. His office staff is really great, and I'm confident in his expertise, but he just doesn't have a whole lot of personality. His office is in the medical park at West Boca Medical Center.

    Good luck!

  • I got to Women's Health Partners too but the Boynton office..  Dr. Ciaccio is the doctor I see there now.  I love her!  Dr. Rudolph is really great too like V mentioned above.
  • Thank you all so much! It will be my first baby, and I this was not the best time that we chose to move.

Van: I can't believe that doc. made you cry. That's horrible! I'm glad you got a good doctor now!

KT: I actually live in Delray too, but I figure there are more options in Boca. I hope to find a pediatrician in Delray later.  Regarding hospitals, I thought there was none in Delray. I was thinking to visit the West Boca Medical Center, I heard it's good. But again... I have no idea!

    Many thanks!

Dr Feingold wasn't my dr but she happened to be on call the day Sebastian was to be circumsized. It also happened to be her first year in the practice AND Thanksgiving day and I think she was pissed abotu havign to work. She was super rude to me the day after I had gone through hell (20 hours of labor, emergency c-section) and then ended up screwing up his circumcision that cost us 2K to fix!

I think Bethesda does deliveries in Delray but I have heard horrible things abotu giving birth there!

  • I also go to Women's Healthcare Partners and my primary is Rachel as well. However, I ended up with a c/section, so Dr. Feingold did it and I LOVED her! For the next one, I'd like either her to Dr. Chen to do it.

  • Dr. Luisa Cueto (561) 479-2600 with Premier Woman's Healthcare off of 441 between glades and palmetto. She is amazing. GL!

  • I go to Women's Healthcare Partners too, in Boca, and I have Dr. Feingold as my OB.  She is terrific.  She's actually out on maternity leave now, but should be back in a couple of weeks.  While she's out I see Dr. Chen who is alright and for my miscarriage last summer I saw Dr. Newman who is AMAZING!  I really think that the whole practice is great and they run things really well.  There are so many benefits to going to a practice with multiple OBs and Midwives on staff.  They have a phone-nurse service where you can call any time with questions about anything and they'll get back to you super quick (my experience has been 30 minutes or less!), and if your OB is out for some reason (vacation, maternity, illness, etc.) you don't have to worry about not being able to see someone.  I've heard of OBs inducing or scheduling C-sections early b/c they were going on vacation!  You'll never have to worry about that if you've got 8 OBs at the same practice.  You really should check out Women's Healthcare Partners, I would recommend any of their physicians.
