NWH question

This is an odd question I guess. We just bought a new SUV and its pretty high etc. My question is at NWH when they check the car seat before you leave do they allow you to but behind passengers seat instead of middle? I'm very confident in my car seat installing skills (nanny for 9 years) but still plan on going to police dept for a check.

    I'm not sure about NWH, but the police officer installed our car seat behind the passenger seat, and said it didn't really matter where it was as far as safety, just what was most convenient. The hospital really checks before you leave the hospital? I've never heard that before.

    We had our seat installed by a Safety Officer and he installed it behind the passenger seat. I also delivered at NWH and they did NOT check the car seat.

    Ditto on PP - NWH does not have anyone who checks the carseats before you leave. We have our carseat behind the passenger seat and had it checked by a local police department.

    At NW, when we left, the nurse checked that the baby was strapped in the seat properly, she did not come out to the car to make sure the base was installed properly.  Our seat is behind the passenger seat, installed by the State Police.
