3rd Trimester

Anyone else drenched in sweat after a few hours of sleep?

It's really weird. For the past 3 nights (and two naps), I have woken up after a couple of hours and I am literally drenched in sweat. Once I had undies and a tank top on and I had to take them off because they were soaked. I am not someone that sweats easily, so this is strange to me. I'm seriously dripping from my head to my knees.

I do have a UTI that I'm on antibiotics for, not sure if this is the cause or just pregnancy hormones, but I've never experienced this before.

  • All the time!  I think it's normal, but so annoying!

  • Yes. I have this every night.

After some warm days I had turned off the heat.  Forgot about it when the temp got colder.  My hubby was freezing and I was still sweating when the temp inside said 63 degrees.  That is very unlike me.

  • Ugh, yes! It's just the hormones, but I hate it! At least DH is getting a kick out of it - he's normally the one who's burning up and sweating, but now he's actually comfortable b/c I can't stand to keep the thermostat up or the ceiling fan off...

  • Every night and every nap. No matter how hot or cold the house is. Having a fan in our room doesn't help either.
  • Me too!  I had to get up and get changed the other day bc my pjs were damp. Yuck.

Me. It's irritating, too, because I like to take my shower before bed and here lately I haven't been able to do that cause I wake up all sticky and stinky.

  • Yep, and with my daughter, the night sweats got worse after she was born. I'm really hoping it's not as bad this time around.
  • Used to happen to me a lot. In fact I would have to change my pajamas because I would wake up soaking wet.
  • Yup, DH is super supportive of everything baby/pregnancy related, but he is super bummed to have the a/c on at this time of year.  Usually I would just want the nice breeze through the windows at this time of year, but now I want it to be about 50 degrees in here.  I have tried to be good and keep the a/c on for 2 hrs a day max, but it is tough!
  • I used to try not to have the a/c on all the time b/c DF said he was freezing, but then I thought, my back hurts, my feet are swollen, and I'm going to the bathroom 900 times a day, so hey, if he's a little cold, he can put on a jacket! Wink
  • Yep. I wake up and find my blown out hair has gotten all curly again.

MH still has the heater on in our room because its pretty cold at night still and we have a bird in our room that needs to stay warm. He's really going to be obsinate in a month when its hot here. He's a a/c nazi in the summer and is going to have a rude awakening if he pulls that while I'm pregnant.

  • I sure do! It's gross but it's better than being freezing like I usually was!
