Why did he say no caffeine whatsoever? Do you have some kind of condition that he said that? Everything I have read and from what my doctors had said, you can have up to 2 cups of coffee safely per day.
Can you have something else, though, so you don't faint? Juice? Granola bar?

Chai does have Caffeine so if dr. said no Caffeine I am sorry to say no you can't...
But there Passion tea is awesome and NO Caffeine
Looks like 75 mg:

Starbucks Chai's have caffiene in them... the tall has 75mg and the grande has 100mg.
Hope that helps...

nfatigato have you ever had it with rasberry syrup?! Yum!! The girls that work there turned me onto it
My doctor gave me a list of dos and donts and also she told me not to drink any caffine means no coffe, no tea, no hot chocklate...as she said its my first pregnancy and it is better to take precautions rather then taking risks. So I didnt had any caffine religiously from last 10 weeks...since I am pregnant. But when my BP goes down the only thing helps to bring it back up quickly is a hot cup of tea or hot cup of coffee....I did had some juice and sugar but not helping...still dizzy. I think I will just go and have a cup of small latte with lots of milk in it and hope for best. My am going for my very first official ultrasound tomorrow. Excited and scared about it at the same time.
Thanks for helpful information friends:)

Since when does drinking something hot raise your blood pressure?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I have developed low blood pressure problem. My doctor tried so many things but told me that i should quickly go and have a cup of hot tea or coffee when i feel my blood pressure is going down....as there was a point when my blood pressure dropped very quickly and i was at the stage of getting stoke.
Nope. That sounds good though!! I usually just drink it plain or with a tiny bit of splenda. I actually bought a box of the tea bags a couple times and made them in my iced tea maker. YUMMY!
If he said specifically tea or coffee then it might be the caffeine that helps. Have you tried sodium? When mine gets low and I get real dizzy I drink pickle juice or v8 with extra salt. That helps.

This. My doctor said the same thing. I work in the medical field and all our docs at my clinic say 200mg is absolutely fine.
I drink a cup of coffee per day.
My doctor says no herbal or green teas(is chai considered herbal?), so I would not drink it.
However, my friend drank iced chai tea throughout her pregnancy and delivered a perfect little boy!
I guess I'd ask my doctor before I drank it!
order the big train chai, it's 99% caffine free and soooooo good
