OB/GYN Recs

Hello Ladies,

I'm looking for a good OB/GYN in the Portland area. Do you have any recs. We live in the Tigard area.  I've been seeing my general practitioner but now that we are going to start trying to conceive I think it's time to find a OB/GYN.

Thank you!  Wow. I feel like I just got married and was on theknot.

Re: OB/GYN Recs

  • I've gone to the Women's Heathcare Associates for years, which has a few locations on the westside. My dr is Karlsson at Peterkort, and I'm very happy with her, but I've also heard great things about the other drs/locations too. Their website is whallc.com
    Best of luck TTC!

  • I second Women's healthcare...but I see Dr Allison at Meridian Park.  Love her, she's spunky, not over bearing and will allow you to discuss your options and will support your decisions as long as there is no danger.  She supported my VBAC with my second child.

She was my OB for both kids.

  • Thank you ladies. I will give them a call!
  • I also go to Women's Healthcare Associates in Tualatin. I see Dr. Broms. I've only seen him once so far, but two Drs. referred me to him separately. I found him easy to talk to and thorough.
  • I know the feeling, we just got married in August 07 and now we've moved right from the knot to the bump! I have to agree with the others, Womens Healthcare Associates have been great, we see Dr. Dion and she is FANTASTIC!!!!! Both my husband and I always tell people how incredibly lucky we are to have found such a great doctor! Good luck!

  • I see Dr. Broms in Tualatin too! I went there based on this boards rec when we moved out here this summer. He was even flexible with when I wanted to schedule my 18-20 week ultrasound. I wanted to wait until 23 weeks so my mom would be able to come to the appointment and it wasn't a problem at all.
