Maternity hospital in NYC

Hi everyone:

Can anyone advise me: (i) where I can find the best maternity hospital in NYC; and (ii) if I need to book a room in advance?

I currently live in Paris but my boyfriend lives in NYC and so I will move to NYC in the next couple of months to have the baby there. I'm due in June.

New York Presbyterian was voted the best place to deliver in NYC. there are many great hospitals here though-- I believe you will need to deliver at the hospital your OB is associated with. You can pick the hospital and then see a doctor at that hospital.

I second NY Pres. I gave birth in Columbia Presbyterian and they were fabulous, the delivery room is amazing and the delivery nureses were great. My only complaint was my room afterwards, it was semi private and my room mate was a nightmare. Also the triage nurses weren't so nice.

My OB is in NYC on 5th and he uses Greenwich Hospital in CT. It is not far,, and worth it for the ammeniteis.
I had a Lap there and it was so clean you could eat off the floor.
