Subway question

I work for ChaCha answering random questions for people, and someone asked me what subway he should take from Grand Central to 11 Park Place.  Since I don't live in NYC, I don't know a ton about the city or its subway schedule.  I found the website with the schedule, but it seems like you have to know where things are located in the city to find the subway you could take.  Anyone know of an easier site to use?  Maybe one that I could put in my starting place and destination and it would tell me what to take?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
