Anyone have an REI membership?

I am close to buying a jogging stroller from REI. My SIL gave me a 20% off coupon but it is asking for my address. If I put mine in it will change her mailing address.

So my question is - if I go and buy it from the store do they ask for ID to prove that it is my membership? I don't think SIL has time to go with us to the store. Also if I put her address in and have it shipped to the store will I have to show ID?

    I'm sorry, I don't have an answer to you, but I was wondering which jogging stroller you're getting?  I just went through the jogging stroller buying process recently. Big Smile

    How far from your house is your SIL? Could you just have it shipped to her house and pick it up?

    You can put her address in and have it shipped to the store without a problem.  When the item arrives in the store, they'll e-mail you a confirmation slip and that's really all they look at.

    I am either getting the bob revolution or the baby jogger summit. I need to make my mind up today. I want to use it this weekend if possible. What jogger did you end up getting?

    I like the bob b/c of all the ratings but I like the baby jogger b/c of all the accessories you can add and the easy fold system.

     I can only get free shipping if I have it delivered to the store.

    We went with the baby jogger because it was so easy to fold-up and it has a bunch of accessories and it seemed lighter than the BOB.  That being said, all my friends that have BOB strollers LOVE THEM!  We also wanted the summit, but we decided on the City Elite because we aren't big joggers. Did you actually "try" them out at the store?  I found the Baby Jogger to be less bulky and lighter.  I went to BBB to "try" them out.  We're really happy wtih our Baby Jogger.  They have the Summit @ BBB and the BOB.

    I looked at that city elite on that site but Dh is a runner so we couldn't go with that one.

    I have tried them both out and like them both for different reasons. Dh could care less which one we go with. I just need to make up my mind. I honestly think if the summit came in better colors I would buy that one. lol

    Thanks for your help. I am glad to hear you like the baby jogger at this point I am 99% sure I will get the summit. I am just afraid to make another stroller decision and hate it again. I have a travel system for everyday and hate it. I wish I would have gotten the city mini with a car seat adaptor for everyday use.

    I was worried, just like you about making the wrong decision, but I don't think you'll go wrong with either stroller!  Good luck. I have been so excited about my jogging stroller!!!  I love the Summit, and with the 20% off @ REI it doesn't get any better!!!!

    They don't check to make sure that addresses are the same, so I wouldn't worry about that.   I know that REI does stock up on bob's for this sale, so the shipping might be a total non-issue. I think you can also use it online, and then have it sent to the store to avoid shipping charges as well.

    Julie- if the stroller is bought under the REI rewards program, they have a super generous return policy (ie, if you use it and decide you hate it, you can easily return it).  I imagine it'd work for the stroller too.  I know my brother does a bunch of hiking, climbing, camping, etc so we've bought a number of birthday or Christmas presents for him from there.  He alway stresses about putting the purchase on his rewards account so he can return the item if it doesn't work out.
