Here's a link from Inspired by Finn that explains the healing properties of baltic amber. I just got mine, so I'm really not sure if it's helping yet or not. But it is super cute on him.
okay...i know amber has reported healing properties, but do you just put it on LO's neck? Maybe I'm paranoid but I feel like that's a dangerous thing- no?
I just put the necklace around his neck, it's not a long one at all so it can't get caught on anything. We ordered the smallest size and it fits really well. It's not a stretchy necklace either, you have to clasp it (it's actually a screw together clasp).

I purchased one for myself first, and when I wear it, my neck and shoulder pain is gone, and I get less headaches. I was, admittedly, dubious at first, but since it worked for me, I hope it can help LO as she goes through teething. As far as the safety issue goes... I don't plan on having it on her while she is sleeping or anything- I didn't get the smallest size, b/c they were out, but I did get a fairly small one. Obviously, as she puts things in her mouth, I'll inspect it often to make sure it doesn't seem like it's going to fall apart in her mouth or anything.
I don't have one, so I can't speak to how well they work. I am curious, but so far (5.5 teeth in) we haven't had any issues and so I haven't felt the need to try. That being said - I have looked at them.
If you are concerned about the safety issues around putting a necklace on your baby, there are some Etsy shops that make bracelets/anklets as well. I know a few people that have them and love them. I can try to figure out exactly where they were purchased if you want - but I know Etsy has them
I'm just ordering my first one, but I have several friends who have them and say they make a world of difference. You don't leave them on when your baby is sleeping, so you are always keeping an eye on them when they are wearing the necklace. You can actually get one that has magnetic clasp so that it will break off if it gets caught up. Of course, you still have to watch baby with it b/c you wouldn't want magnets swallowed.
If you decide you want one, I have a co-op going on for Inspried by Finn. Use the discount code "ToriH" and you'll get 25%off.
