TTC after 35

Introduction

Hi ladies!  I am a regular on TTCAL and thought I would come over here to introduce myself.  I live at the beach in So Cal with my DH and our dog Luna.  We have been together for 8 years, married almost two. DH and I have been hoping for our baby for over two years now.  Last October we learned we were expecting only to have our dreams shattered Nov 30th.  We are now on our 4th cycle and have been referred to an infertility specialist.  My consulation is this Thursday, I am relieved yet experience anxiety at the same time.  Any advice or input as to what to expect would be appreciated.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

(despite the new screenname, I have been around for several years as Kona08.  Some how last week my screenname has vanished).

 EDT: I am 38 years old ;)

Re: Introduction

  • Welcome to the board.  I am sorry to hear of your loss.  I lost one at 8 weeks when we were first ttc too.  Now we have a 6 1/2 yo DD.  She came along 1 1/2 years after our m/c.  I am 39 and DH just turned 40.  GL with your new RE, hoping he does the trick.  I got pg the month that I went to the RE.  :)

Weird about your screen name.  Tongue Tied

ETA: I also live in CA.  We live in the South end of the Central Valley.  :)

  • Welcome to the board.  So sorry for your loss.  Hopefully, you will get all the answers you need to TTC again with confidence.

I think I recognize your picture from previous threads.  Did you email the bump gods to ask what up?

I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

hi i'm sorry to hear of your loss.i'm obviously not currently ttc but i just have to say the ladies over here are a great group and so supportive when i was ttc and going through the testing and trials of clomid, femara, and then IUI.

i grew up in so cal and lived in san clemente for a short time when i got older. in fact i even worked at san clemente hospital.i used to love camping at Doheny state beach with my family when i was younger and riding bikes over to Dana Point to get ice cream and look in the shops.  sadly it seems doheny beach is not what it used to be. :(

and small world  i currently live in central california as well.

good luck with the RE. i hope things go well for you and your stay here is short.

I did and of course I had no help with the bump gods.  So, here I am with a new name and hopefully some luck in our future.  I have posted on TCAL, but never on this board before.  But your name looks familiar too!

DH & I just got back from our harbor walk.  I also lived in San Clemente and Laguna Beach.  I surf Doho a lot, well when the water is clean.  Times have surely changed here and I wouldn't say for the better.

And thank you everyone for the well wishes!
