Need a new OB

I'm leaving my OB's practice and looking for referrals.  I live in Clinton Twp, but could go anywhere in Sterling Heights, Roseville, Warren, St. Clair Shores.  I have to deliver at Beaumont (either one) simply b/c we have Beaumont insurance.  Anybody love their OB and want to recommend them?

Re: Need a new OB

  • YES! And I tell you....you will love her and thank me for recommending her.  Her name is Dr. Nancy Afr.  Her office is not where you listed but she is in Rochester (Crooks and Auburn).  I have recommend her to many many people and they have thanked me over and over!  It would be worth the drive!! She is a Beaumont doctor.  Her number is 248-598-5015

Good luck!  any questions you can email me at

She delivers at Troy Beaumont and she is at auburn and rochester rd. I am beyond impressed with them!!! Our friend now has all the women at our school we work at going there. My first appt. I felt like I could talk to her like my best friend...any questions was valid. Good luck!

  • My OB is outstanding!!! I actually found him based on someone's rec. on here and a few other nesties had recommended the practice as well :)
I see Dr. Perry, but Dr. Torok comes very highly recommended too. There are also 2 great women OBs there if you prefer. It is Clinton Women's Healthcare on Hall Rd, just W of M53 in Utica. 586-726-6556. I saw all 4 OBs during my pregnancy and they all made me feel very comfortable, explained everything really well, are super nice/friendly, etc... and all the nurses there are great as well. :) They deliver at Troy Beaumont only but will go to Royal Oak if you deliver early or there are complications.

  • Hi there. I go to Eastside Gynecology on Little Mack between 13 and 12 in Roseville. My Dr. is Benjamin Chen. He's great. However, the practice is very large and they like to rotate you around. My mom sees Dr. Blunden. He's kind of cut up. Some people don't like him, but I don't mind a dr. who will kid around and be blunt. I've also seen Dr. Knapp, a very kind, honest and somewhat sarcastic guy. Dr. Hamby was also very good. The OB nurse is also great. I just feel that I'm in very good hands there. I don't recommend Abundis. They deliver at GP Beaumont. I like this practice so much that I drive from Berkley and am 1 mile from RO Beaumont, but I'm chosing to stay with Chen and make the drive to GP. Good luck!!!
  • I have to recommend my OB her name is Michelle Konieczny.  Her office is in Warren at 696 & Hoover.  Her number is 586-427-7370.  She delivers at Beaumont Grosse Pointe.  She is so flippin awesome that all my girlfriends go to her and have had her deliver their babies.  I am telling you, you can't go wrong with her.
