I flat out don't care about anything for myself anymore. I'm planning the bday party, custom ordered her two different onesies, etc. and just realized what the he!! am I going to wear.
Well forget fashionable, I have nothing to wear, fashionable or not! I have 0 time to go shopping, and it's so stressful when I have to take DS along I'll rather stay home.
I've seen my wardrobe shrink and I'm not replenishing it fast enough! Plus all our money is spent on the DS. I feel bad for DH that this is all he's getting....
I haven't cared in a long time and care even less now. I'm happy if I'm in clothes that fit and look decent, "in style" or not. DD is always looking cute and put together though, lol.
I'll happily admit that my wardrobe is almost 100% Target right now. It fits, looks ok on me (nothing looks "good" and won't until I manage to lose half of me), and was affordable if not on clearance, leaving more money to shop for DD. I can't justify spending lots on my wardrobe or anything else since I didn't go back to work after DD like I had originally thought I would. The plan had been for me to go back a few hours a week, which makes decent money in my line of work, but DD is pretty high-maintenance and a total mama's girl, so I decided it was best for her to stay home.
I think I get all of my fashion clues from Heidi Klum on Project Runway. That is the one show I seem to make time for.
I have found that i don't even know a lot of the people in the trash mags anymore. There are a bunch of younguns in my guilty pleasure US Weekly now, and all I can say is "Who? Is this Tiger Beat? Must I start getting Redbook?
Re: I don't know what's fashionable anymore
All I know is that I see a lot of the 80s fashion coming back and that disgusts me :P
