Baby Furniture

Hi ladies,

Hubs and I went to Babies R Us today to browse around and look at furniture for the baby. I have an idea what style crib I like, but I was not impressed with the rest of the baby furniture. Any suggestions where to shop for baby furniture? I heard that JC Penney's only sells their furniture online or catalog with concerns me because I can't go to the store to see the quality.

Any recs are greatly appreciated! TIA!

    I too didnt care for the furniture at Babies R Us we ended up buying our crib from a store called Bergstroms theres one in Anaheim and one in Irvine.  They had a huge selection and they keep all of their cribs in stock.  We also liked the Kids Alley furniture at the OC Swapmeet.  Hope this helps!

    Like the PP, Bergstroms has the biggest selection I've ever seen in So Cal.  I ended up getting my crib online with no tax and free shipping from csnbaby.com, but I checked it out in person first to make sure I would like it.

    We went a bit out of our way but loved this store. Just Baby and Youth in Riverside. The furniture is great and the staff is really helpful

    Kids Place Outlet in Santa Ana...we got a Pali crib there for a great deal and it got a good rating in Baby Bargains.

    We got our dressers from Bergstroms during a sidewalk sale (they have them a lot) for 50% off. They didn't have the crib to match at the time and I didn't think it was worth the full price. We looked at another crib that would match well while we were there but ordered it from BRU since it was cheaper.

    We took a chance with JCP since we couldn't see the furniture in person; however, DH had $500 of free JCP gift cards he received from his work that we wanted to use.  We actually are happy with our furniture though there were a few kinks in the delivery (delivered to Orange location instead of Westminster).

    Le Baby in Riverside....Cheap, money-wise, but good quality.

    H will building anything he can before buying, and was going to build a crib...but even he agreed to buying this..
