Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Any other 9 month no crawlers out there?

DS just isn't interested in crawling.  He was rocking on his knees a couple of weeks ago but has given that up.  I think I'm going to buy a sidecar thingie and have the dogs pull him around if he doesn't start soon!  Any other babies out there not crawling at 9 months?

  • DD was doing the "worm" until 10 months. Don't worry :)

  • Honestly, Jake just just started crawling and even then, he still mostly army crawls. He was rocking on all fours for ages.

  • almost 1 year old, no crawling, no pulling to stand, no walking... but nothing is wrong with her (we've checked) so don't worry about your LO. He will when he wants to.
  • What a relief to know I'm not the only one!  Thanks ladies Wink

  • dd turns 9 months next week and she's not crawling. she'll get up on all 4s and rock. i'm not worried about her not crawling, she'a making progress towards that. she's just doing everything on HER schedule.

  • We're not even close (not even up on knees or anything!).  DS1 didn't start until 11.5mo (and he didn't walk until 16mo).  I kind of expect something similar with DS2.

  • She'll be 9 months old in 5 days and just started trying to CREEP yesterday! She's a late bloomer, but I'm actually happy about it. She's my last baby, so I feel like the longer she stays babyish, the better:)

  • DD is only 8 months but she just started sitting up a few weeks ago. I know she won't be crawling by 9 months. No way. I'm not worried and she was also a preemie.
  • No crawling, not pulling up, not up on all fours.  She will only stand being on her tummy for more than a second if she's in a REALLY good mood.  Then she'll either push up on her arms, or push up on her legs, but never all of them together.
  • DD's just over 8 months, but really has no interest in crawling.  She can almost get to all fours... I'm not too worried, but it's hard not to compare your child to everyone else's.
  • Just turned 10 months a couple of days ago. No crawling here. She just scoots where she wants to go. Personally I think I am getting spoiled by the fact that she isn't that mobile because when she does decide to take off, I know I am in trouble. :)
  • Started army crawling at 9 months 1 week and just started crawling thurs!
  • Grant never crawled (he did some weird squirming/humping) and is now starting to walk.
