I know, I'm way late on seeing it.....but who the heck cried the whole time? me!! Oh man. That was a rough one to watch, but I loved it. Both DH and I thought it was wonderful. But I seriously cried pretty much the whole movie. As soon as they went to the Dr. the water works started and didn't really stop. And then when Ellie died....oh my goodness. I know the message was wonderful but good gracious. I kind of had the initial feeling, before I saw it, that it was a kids movie...so not an accurate assumption. Quite deep really. I kept wondering if she was going to have pictures of their life together in the adventure book. I'm crying just thinking about it.
And I'll be honest here....it terrified me all at the same time because I am so afraid that our "adventure book" won't include kids.
Re: Up.....(Spoilers--don't come in if you haven't seen!)
I agree. I thought about my parents a lot (they've been married 47 years!) and just life in general. I loved how it was funny, sad, inspiring, all at the same time.
Dh and I watched it this weekend too! While his aunt hated it (she was watching with us), I simply loved it. I'm glad, though, that I was warned ahead of time of the fertility issue.
And I agree...I too wonder what my adventure book will have in it and too hope the children's page won't be empty either.

SAIF/PAIF IS ALWAYS WELCOMED TO POST IN MY POSTS!!!
I am sooo scared that we won't get picked Ked. Today marks two months since we officially started the process (when we first met the attorney and gave her our profile books) and while I know that 2 months is definitely nothing (the rational/calm part of me realizes this) I'm still sooo nervous.
I LOVED that movie. It is now my favorite movie of all time.
I cried the whole time, too. Heck...I even cried at the animated short before the movie!
I thought the message was wonderful.
Oh, i cried the whole time too! I had heard it was sad beforehand, so I was kind of prepared for that. But I too thought it was a kids movie, but it is much more for adults than children in my opinion. I love the message in the movie. It's definitely a good one!
I'm sorry that you were sad thinking about your "adventure book" with your dh. I hope that you get your chance to add those adventures to your lives soon
Up makes me cry every time I see it. This is cute though:
