I'm so glad you asked this! Mine is 4/23 and I think I will be about 9 weeks or so. I was wondering if there would be an u/s because if so, DH wants to come. If not, then he should go to work. I know when the OPK was positive, so I am unsure if they will go off of that, the LMP date, or u/s measurements?
Peed in cup, confirmation test, blood pressure and weight check. Complete medical history and estimated due date based on LMP or ovulation date. The OB will do your yearly exam if you're due for one (pap, etc.) and talk to you about basics and answer any questions you have. They'll also give you LOTS of paperwork on screening options (genetic, HIV, triple screen, etc.) and hospital admission paperwork.
I've been going to my OB/Gyn for years (since I was pg with my son 8 yrs ago) so he knows all my history, gave him my husbands. P'd in cup. Took lots of blood. Didn't do a pap b/c I had just had one done at the end of last year.
Did an u/s (since I've had losses before). Told me what not to eat, gave me a list of ok'd meds and a free sample bag. Told me to come back in 2 weeks to make sure baby is progressing.

FWIW, it is with the OB.
Since it's my hDHs first (my 2nd), AND I had an early m/c in Jan I called my dr office ahead asking what they'd do and if my DH should go. They told me they would do an u/s but it's too early to see anything, just wanted to confirm pregnancy, so he didn't have to go. (We just saw an empty sac at 5 wks, too early to see anything else).
Blood work (which I've already had done), weight check, start my prenatal chart, u/s (since I've had a miscarriage), listen for/to heartbeat, give samples, tell me when to come in next.
If you haven't had your annual within the last year, they'll do a pap and everything else (breast exam, etc).
Mine is not until 10 weeks on may 18. The receptionist said I'll have an ultrasound first and then a physical exam. I just had my annual 5 months ago so
I'm not sure if they'll do a pap, and I did generic testing when dh and I started TTC (we are Jewish which puts us at higher risk for generic diseases).
In some ways I'm upset I have to wait so long for my appt but on the other hand it will be really cool to see the baby at my first appt!

Re: What is done at 1st official OB appt?
Confirmation appointment - Peed in cup, weight, family history, lots of blood work
First appointment with OB (was 3 days after confirmation appointment) - physical exam, pap, scheduling of 1st ultrasound

I suggest you call and ask what they'll be doing.

PS- i'm due nov 8 too!

Next Tuesday at 11AM. I was told it'll be some bloodwork and I'm sure the rest of that jazz.
I had testing for Cystic Fibrosis before I got pregnant, so I don't need to worry about that one.
At my first appointment, it was pee in a cup, weight, blood pressure, medical history (mine and DH's, so I'm glad he went!)
We also had a dating ultrasound at the first appointment. Bloodwork and physical exam/pap wasn't scheduled til a week or two later.
