When to prepare?

I'm 36 weeks this week, and I'm not sure when I'm suppose to put the car seat in the car and when to pack for the hospital for me and my LO. When am I suppose to do that? is now to early?

I did it at 37 weeks.

No it isn't to early to be prepared. If you do it now you won't have to worry about it later.

My nurse recommends doing it around 36 weeks, so I'm gonna do it this week. DH and I are taking the cars to the firehouse to have them put in the car seat bases...and the bag is almost ready, just gotta get a couple more things for it...

I packed my bags and put the carseat in last week. I know at this point they won't stop labor, so I want to be prepared.

36 weeks sounds good. They won't stop labor if it happens at this point so it's better to be prepared!

My OB said at my last appt that they wouldn't stop labor. Since I've been going to L&D a lot lately with contractions I put the carseat in the very next day.

As far as bags, I've had those packed since my first trip to L&D almost three weeks ago. I have most of it packed (along with a bag for DD for her stay at the IL's) and also have a list for DH in case he needs to finish packing it. I had to be very specific with the list, aka it reads "the purple Aussie mouse/leave in conditioner on the back of the d/s toilet goes in Brittyn's bag, make sure MIL is aware that hair must be WET before applying". Yes, it is necessary. lol

I did it around 37 weeks and I had DS at 38w exactly (so I was glad it was done!)

I'm in the process of packing my bag - I add this as I think of it.

We are going to install the car seat around 36 weeks.
