Guess if I ever get the chance to actually be/stay pregnant I won't be able to use my favorite baby girl name....because my fairly new neighbor, who is due in June, has chosen that name for her daughter. FIONA.
Bummer.....well...I guess that means I'll have to have boys!! HAHAHA
Here's hoping.
Re: oh well...
Baby J is here! Born on her mama's birthday.
11 pounds, 7 ounces and 23" long at birth!
My Bio
I still think you can use it...and it is beautiful.
I know...I shouldn't care if she uses the name (it's not like she's in my family or something)...and I normally wouldn't care; I think when I asked her if she had names picked and she blurted out Fiona, I was in shock and couldn't believe it. It's not a common name and I wasn't expecting to hear 'my' name. he-he.
Should we be so lucky and get PG and have a girl...I'm 99% sure I'll still use it; mostly because the Hubs likes it too!
I also say use your name!
I hope you get the chance soon.
Totally!

I love that name too. There's a DJ on NPR, on Sundays, who calls the "Thistle and Shamrock" show, who's name is Fiona Ritchie. I love how she says her name with a Scottish brogue. It's a possible name for us too. I say use it. Like you said, you are not related, so do it. I also loved the name Madeleine but was disappointed when the name became so popular. We picked a name that isn't popular, but when we had her and switched churches, there were 2-3 other Jillian's there. LOL
Madeleine was also on our list...but then my favorite cousin went ahead and bought a pug dog and named her that -- Maddy for short! I love Jillian...that is super cute!
