Do you remember your ACT and/or SAT score?

I'm applying for some jobs online, and one of the places is asking me for my ACT / SAT scores.  That was over 10 years ago, I can't remember what my ACT score was to save my life (I never took the SATs).

Do you remember your scores?  (And no, I'm not asking you to post them, LOL.  I just can't remember that far back, wondering if other people can!)

Re: Do you remember your ACT and/or SAT score?

  • I remember my ACT score. I never took the SAT.

  • I remember my SAT score.

I'm wondering though how you indicate that it was on the previous scoring procedure? Hasn't the SAT's changed since the 90's? lol

  • Yes, I remember both. It was 8-9 years ago, but I remember numbers really well.

  • I never took the ACT.  I took the SAT twice - once in 8th grade and then as a junior.  I remember my 8th grade score exactly, but would have to ball park my high school score, which was much higher and the one I'm sure they care about!
  • I took the SAT in 1995 and yes, I still remember the score.  LSAT too, but that was in 2000.
  • I'm seriously sitting here trying to think of what I wore yesterday. lol

I have a general idea of both, but I could be way off...

I don't know anything about the SATs, but they have a spot to put your score, and then there is a drop-down where you indicate what the max score was - so that must be how they differentiate.  I had been wondering what that meant!

  • Yes, I remember. I remember numbers really easily though.

  • I remember both.
  • Yes, but only because I did really well on it and the ACT is only a 2 digit score, so it's easy.  I didn't take the SAT.

  • I didn't take the ACT, but I do remember my score for the SAT. They did change the scoring so I'm sure it sounds like I failed now, lol.

  • 1550. I had a perfect 800 in verbal. Freaking math section ruined my chances at a perfect 1600.

This.  I actually took the ACT 3 times and got a 1 point higher each time.  I needed a certain score to get the scholarship I wanted and I got it on my last try.  It was a pain, hence the memory!

  • Yes, but I probably would not provide it at this point, it is not relevant.  I have been ask for it before on apps, It was not an issue.  The test is scored differently now, so you would have to know more than just the score to make sense of it.
  • I remember my SAT score, but not my ACT; I also remember my LSAT score but not my GMAT score.  My mind is usually a steel trap when it comes to remembering that kind of crap!

  • Yep. I took the ACT 3 times & got the same score each time.
  • i don't think i ever took the act but i can give you a ballpark for the SAT.. not exact though
  • Yep, I remember both.  And I took them 12 or 13 years ago.

And for MM, I got a 30 on the ACT and a 1330 on the SAT.  A pretty decent 730 in verbal, but a crappy 600 in math.  Math blows.

  • I remember my SAT score, and I *think* I know what my ACT was as well.

    same here.

  • Yes. Unfortunately I took them exactly a week apart my junior year. I got a 1270 on my SAT and a 26 on my ACT. Not all that fantastic. Oh well.

  • This thread is cracking me up. I'm waiting for another thread where everyone shares their IQ.

OP, I remember my ACT score because all the schools I applied to wanted it, but I don't remember my SAT or even my GRE, even though that was a lot more recent.

  • Yes, I remember my ACT score (didn't take SAT) and was pretty proud of it until I came in here.
  • yup.  30 on the ACT (i took that when i was a freshman in HS) and i scored a 1200 on the SAT my freshman year and my junior year (the one i used for college apps) i scored a 1540.  Big Smile

i don't even understand the new scoring.  doesn't the SAT go up to 2600 or something now?  Weird.

  • Yep, because my BFF and I often joke that we peaked in HS. She was the lead in our high school musical, and I had a perfect 800 verbal SAT score. We both made the local newspaper... and definitely haven't done anything that impressive since. ;)

  • SAT sort of - 15-something - I only remember because I was super proud of my perfect verbal score ;-)

I could only ballpark my GRE scores though.

And, yes, the SAT scoring goes up to 2400 now.  There's another 800 point "writing" section which is 2/3 grammar and 1/3 short essay.

Oooh, AND we're both from central PA! Personally, I like to blame radiation poisoning. Nothing screams quality first trimester brain development like residing five miles from a power plant meltdown. I totally lost math skillz that day.

  • Considering I took the SAT in 1992, um no, I don't remember.

  • That's weird that any place but an undergraduate program would want to know your scores.  Weeeeird.
