you actually can do a front carry in an MT, you just have to rig it a little bit.  It's called the shoestring trick and you just get, well a shoestring or piece of string about that length, tie it around the front of the MT and cinch it in so that your baby's legs can go out and around it.

    Or with a little baby just fold their legs up cross legged or froggy style.  I do that w/ Cooper because he has a fit if we're somewhere interesting and all he can see is my chest. 
    My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!
