And thus starts my 2 months ALONE

I'm a single mommy for the next two months starting right now :-(

After 14 months of being a SAHD (he was laid off last January) DH has been re-employed with a German company and is required to spend the next two months in training and conferences out of the country.  I just dropped him at the airport.

My stress level is through the roof as I try to get daycare coverage for my 12 hour night shifts and get him into daycare for the daytimes (and babysitting coverage for my Arbonne parties too).

I'm super happy that DH is employed and I don't have to single-handedly pay all of the bills anymore... but life as Patrick and I have known it is forever changed.  DH was so blessed to be able to watch his son grow every day as a SAHD...

    Wow!  What a huge change!  I can imagine your stress level, as it's been hard enough for me to figure out coverage under more typical circumstances.  I'm sure it's been a great experience, though, for your husband to see your LO grow up firsthand.

    Oh my goodness, I am stressed just thinking about that.  DH just went to a 5 day bachelor party 2 weeks ago and it wore me out.  Though basically, I realized (which should be obvious) that I could certainly be a single mom if I had to....it would just force me to be MUCH more disciplined and organized than I currently am.....and that isn't all bad.  But your work schedule presents a unique challenge that I do not envy.  Hope it all goes smoothly and the time flies so DH is back home soon!  Congrats on being a two income household again, that will make some of it easier I'm sure!

    OMG!!! I'm sorry- that is stressful! You and I can chat- DH is gonna be gone for 3 weeks the end of April but thankfully home on the weekends.

    You can do this because you are a great momma!!! I'm so sorry to lose my German pool boy though!

    Thanks guys!  You are all the best!!  I'm just gonna take it one day at a time!

    Tak- I will keep your offer in mind for the Arbonne parties.  I've only scheduled a few of them over the next two months thankfully!
