What CD did you start it?
I am a little puzzled. My cycles are usually 24-28 days. I saw my RE on CD 16 and he said I was just about to ovulate, probably later that day. So he said to come to come back in 1 week after ovulation and I will start lupron. That will be CD 23 for me. Now I know that my cycle will be at least 26 days long due to the time that I ovulated, then will be prolonged a little due to taking lupron. But overall I would be on lupron only a week or so before I get AF again? Does that sound normal to you?
With my first 2 IVFs, I started lupron on CD 16 after ovulation was confirmed. With my 3rd IVF, it was all messed up and pushed back due to BCPs and stuff so I can't get a clear picture from that one. That IVF and this current one is with a new RE. I realize I should have asked him this directly but of course I wasn't thinking clearly until I left the office.

Re: Ladies who took lupron....
I've only added lupron after being on the BCP, sorry cutie

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

This. Sorry
Thanks ladies! Maybe I will re-post tomorrow night to see if anyone else has any experiences. I guess BCP is the norm but for me, it was a no-go.
I will email you tomorrow Niki!
This sounds kinda like what I did for my first IVF. I wouldn't worry about it and just do what the doc says. Good luck!
That sounds about right. I go on CD21 for a blood draw to confirm O. Then I start Lupron on CD22. My RE has me on Lupron for at least ten days (even if AF comes) or until CD2. Then I go in for a suppression check.
