Better diaper for overnight... Pampers swaddler vs. Luvs

(It's already been determined for us that Huggies are an ultra fail for wet diapers.)

    We are currently in 2s during the day but at night I use 3 Luvs. They work well for us so far!

    All preemies diapers are huge but Swaddlers seems to be the best. Huggies are a bust here too!

    Swaddlers did pretty well for us too, that was what we started with, but I am still working through all the diapers we received at my shower, so I have a few different types still.  Thankfully we got mostly Swaddlers, but there's a few Luvs and Huggies left in there too.  (Huggies are for daytime only I'm thinking now, when I can change really frequently).

    Pampers Baby Dry work well for us overnight. 

     

    We just started using the new Swaddlers with Drymax and they're working well so far, too.  The regular old swaddlers leaked all the time for us.

    I use whatever I have on hand that is open and in the diaper stacker. Right now it's Huggies- I'm using up what we received as gifts (I got a LOT of huge packs of diapers and haven't had to buy alot since moving up to 1's. DS is about to move up to size 2 and I have a HUGE box of Hugges (184 of them) and a couple boxes of Pampers Swaddlers in size 2's. I like Pampers bettter as they are softer and yeah I've noticed I don't have to change DS as often as with Huggies. I have not tried the Pampers with Drymax, I read alot of bad reviews on them but I guess I will have to try them to see if DS does ok in them.

    I have been using the Earth's Best diapers for outings and overnights (we cloth diaper during the day at home) and have to say they  have been better than Huggies and Pampers with far less blow outs or leaks.

    Pampers!!! Like you the Huggies were a FAIL. Luvs are so plasticky and yuck.

    Swaddlers weren't working for overnight for us...I went and bought the Pampers Ultra Dry or whatever they are called...they say on the package they are for 12 hrs...we use those for overnight now and no leaks! They have special stuff in them that sucks up the pee that the swaddlers don't have.

    We've had pretty good luck with both Luvs and Parents Choice (Wal-marts brand) over night. 

    Luvs are crunchy sounding and a bit plasticky - think old school disposables, but we use them at night and for just around the house. They're inexpensive and <knock on wood> hold a lot!
